I wrote and directed this short film as part of my final year at Bath Spa University. Awarded a First, tutors commented that it brought them to tears.
The story of the making of Remember This didn't began years before it was made. I struggled with mental health difficulties (now diagnosed as Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, otherwise known as Borderline Personality Disorder). In 2011, I suffered a major mental health crisis. In recovery, I had to re-evaluate my life and experiences. During this recovery, I began to write Remember This. It is the story of life, love, and death. It is the story of grief, of hope, and how love can help you battle through the darkest of times. It is also a story of saying goodbye.
The short film was inspired by Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol; Cecelia Ahern's P.S. I Love You and the film adaptation (2007); and various works of film noir.
The following short films were made during my undergraduate degree. Sadly they are no longer available to view as they have been removed from the university's YouTube account.
I was the writer of the original script for this short film and had no other involvement. It was brilliant to see it come to life and I am grateful for the filmmakers for choosing to make the film.
I was the producer and sound recordist.
I worked as the sound recordist and assisted with the casting.
